Hello there! In this first post I will be showing you my Warhammer 40,000 Army. Warhammer 40,000 is a tabletop board game by Games Workshop. It requires assembled and painted miniatures and uses them to fight with another player.
The race of my army is called Tyranids. They are an alien, monstrous army whose goal is to eat all organic things they encounter (Yes, that includes humans). So basically that makes my army one of the bad guys of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. I usually battle my brother’s army using this. Tyranids are classified into several subspecies.
The backbone of my army consists of a small horde of these little guys called Termagaunts and Hormagaunts. Don’t let their small stature fool you, as a group of them can take down a tank!
These are the Termagaunts, which fire little bugs that act as bullets and tear apart the enemy.
These are the savage Hormagaunts. They use their sharp scythes to cut down the enemies that get in their way!
These are the elite members of my alien horde. They excel in stealth and infiltration, and are best in close combat. They fight the enemy using their rending claws and scythe talons.
This is fearsome alien is called a Deathleaper. It lurks in the shadows for a while, then jumps out, and ambushes any unsuspecting enemy.
These frightening group of Tyranids are called the Genestealers. They usually infiltrate behind enemy lines, and disrupt their plans by ambushing enemy units. These guys are so strong, they can stop tanks.
Last but certainly not the least, is the leader of the horde. This flying monstrosity is called the Hive Tyrant. It commands the whole swarm and destroys whole squads of enemies with a single flick of its fearsome scythes! This monstrous creature can take several hits before finally crashing down into the ground.
I painted all of those miniatures by hand! I used some acrylic paints that’s dedicated for painting the tabletop miniatures. They’re called Citadel paints. Here are the names of the colors: Yriel Yellow, Wazdakka Red, Russ Grey (it’s actually bluish-grey), and Abaddon Black. I know, the names sound weird, but you might understand them if you delve more into Warhammer 40,000 lore.
Some of the models I have aren’t painted or assembled yet. Here are some of them:
That’s all for this post! If you’d like to see more, please leave some feedback! Thanks a lot for reading this post!
